Nidaan Legal Aid Forum successfully organised an Anti-Narcotics Lecture Series aimed at spreading awareness about the growing concern of substance abuse among students and young adults. The initiative brought together medical experts, legal professionals, and academic resource persons, who collectively addressed the physical, psychological, and legal implications of narcotic consumption.
During the sessions, medical experts educated students about the harmful effects of drugs on the human body, addiction patterns, long-term health risks, and the importance of early intervention. Legal experts elaborated on the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, penalties for possession and consumption, and the role of law in prevention, rehabilitation, and enforcement.
The lecture series encouraged students to remain vigilant, make informed choices, and support a drug-free environment. Interactive discussions, real-life case examples, and guidance from specialists made the programme highly impactful. Overall, the event reinforced the Forum’s commitment to promoting awareness, legal literacy, and healthy living among the student community.
