On the occasion of International Women’s day on 8th March, 2024, D Y Patil University School of Law, Nidaan Legal Aid Forum and Bhagubhai Changu Thakur College of Law, organised a vibrant Women’s Conclave celebrating the achievements and contributions of Women in various fields. The event honoured five remarkable women for their outstanding work in social service, including Ms. Shubhangi Tirodkar (VP, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce), Ms. Ana Saldanha (Trustee, PCGT), Ms. Priti Patkar (Founder and Executive Secretary, Prerana Foundation), Ms. Kirti Poonia (Social Entrepreneur and Former CEO of Okhai, Co-Founder of Restore and Relove), and Ms. Payal Khabre (Social Activist and Founder, Titeeskha Foundation).

The students of various universities added to the celebratory atmosphere with captivating dance performances and a thought-provoking skit that highlighted women's empowerment and resilience. The chief guest, Rtd. Justice Indira Banerjee (Former Judge, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India), delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the significance of gender equality and the impact of women's contributions to society. The heartfelt words of the awardees resonated deeply with the audience, inspiring students and attendees to continue advocating for women's rights and social justice. The conclave was a testament to the power of collaboration and the enduring spirit of women working towards a better world.
