Vishwanath Educational Development Foundation, a non-profit organization, has established “Nidaan Legal Aid Forum” and its monthly news bulletin “Nidaan Lawscape”, hereinafter collectively referred to as “NIDAAN.”

The following Terms and Conditions shall govern the submission and publication of articles on NIDAAN’s official website.

1. Eligibility & Scope : NIDAAN invites original legal articles from advocates, academicians, researchers, law students, or any public-spirited person possessing knowledge of the subject matter. Submissions must relate to legal education, legal awareness, legal policy, or jurisprudence-based analysis, primarily within the Indian legal context.

2. Originality of Content

  1. The submitted article must be original, unpublished, and the independent intellectual work of the author.

  2. The article must not have been previously published in any journal, website, blog, or other media platform.

  3. The author confirms that the content does not infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy right, or other proprietary or legal right of any individual or entity.

  4. Proper references and citations must be provided wherever required.

Plagiarism in any form shall result in immediate rejection.

3. Word Limit, Subject & Format

  1. Articles must contain between 1000 to 1200 words.

  2. The subject must relate to legal education, jurisprudence, statutory interpretation, case analysis, public policy, or allied legal themes.

  3. Submissions must be made strictly in .doc or .docx format only. PDF submissions shall not be accepted.

  4. The article must be structured, coherent, and legally reasoned.

4. Non-Defamatory & Lawful Content : The author agrees that the article:

  • Shall not be defamatory, derogatory, abusive, misleading, or offensive toward any individual, institution, court, government body, or community.

  • Shall not contain unlawful, obscene, or hate-based material.

  • Shall not disclose confidential or privileged information.

NIDAAN reserves the right to reject any content deemed inappropriate.

5. Editorial Rights & Absolute Discretion

  1. The final decision to publish, reject, withhold, or remove any article shall rest solely with the Editorial Team of NIDAAN.

  2. NIDAAN reserves the absolute and unconditional right to accept or reject any submission without assigning any reason whatsoever.

  3. In case of rejection, NIDAAN is under no obligation to inform the author or provide reasons for such rejection.

  4. Submission of an article does not create any right to publication.

  5. The timing and manner of publication shall be determined exclusively by NIDAAN.

The decision of the Editorial Team shall be final and binding.

6. Right to Proofreading, Editing & Modification

Upon submission, the author grants NIDAAN full editorial rights including:

  • Proofreading and correcting grammatical, typographical, or formatting errors.

  • Making necessary stylistic or structural modifications.

  • Editing headings or subheadings.

  • Curtailing or reducing the length of the article to meet editorial standards.

  • Making additions or deletions where required for clarity, consistency, or legal accuracy.

  • Ensuring uniform citation style and formatting.

Such editorial changes may be made without altering the substantive intent of the article.

7. Photographs & Media

  1. Authors may send relevant photographs or images directly to:
    chairman@nidaanlawscape.com

  2. NIDAAN reserves the right to:

    • Use or decline submitted images.

    • Insert, replace, or upload images that are suitable and relevant to the article.

    • Use stock or internally sourced images as deemed appropriate.

8. License & Usage Rights

If an article is selected for publication:

  1. The author grants NIDAAN a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to:

    • Publish the article on its website.

    • Share, distribute, or promote it across digital platforms, newsletters, or social media.

    • Use the content for educational, awareness, archival, or promotional purposes.

    • The article may be featured, republished, or used in compilations or promotional materials of NIDAAN.

Author credit may ordinarily be provided; however, NIDAAN retains complete editorial control over
presentation.

9. Indemnity & Liability : The author agrees to indemnify and hold harmless NIDAAN, its Editorial Team, office bearers, and representatives against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal costs) arising out of:

  • Copyright infringement,

  • Plagiarism,

  • Defamation,

  • Misrepresentation,

  • Or any claim of whatsoever nature connected with the submitted article.

The author bears full legal responsibility for the content submitted.

10. No Financial Compensation : Submission and publication of articles are voluntary. No monetary compensation shall be payable unless expressly agreed in writing.

11. Removal of Content : NIDAAN reserves the right to remove, archive, or discontinue publication of any article at its discretion without prior notice.

12. Acceptance of Terms : By submitting an article, the author confirms that:

  • They have read and understood these Terms & Conditions.

  • They agree to abide by all provisions stated herein.

  • They acknowledge that publication is entirely subject to editorial discretion.
